Bernama lengkap Michael Adeniyi Agbolade Ishola Adenuga, lahir pada 29 april 1953 di Ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria.
Setelah lulus SMA di Ibadan Grammar School, Mike melanjutkan pendidikannya di Amerika Serikat. Disana Mike mendapat gelar sarjana Bisnis Administrasi dari Northwestern Oklahoma State University dan Pace University di New York, Amerika Serikat.
Untuk bertahan hidup dan biaya kuliah di Amerika Serikat, Mike terpaksa harus bekerja sebagai pengemudi taksi dan satpam.
Setelah seluruh pendidikannya selesai, Mike kembali ke Nigeria dan mencoba untuk berbisnis.
Mike merupakan orang yang mudah bergaul dan berhubungan baik dengan orang lain, alhasil ia berhasil bekerja sama dengan perusahaan-perusahaan.
Pada tahun 2003 Mike mendirikan perusahaan Globacom, yaitu perusahaan industri telekomunikasi.
